New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute Releases Healthcare Cost Data

On Thursday, October 11, New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute (NJHCQI) released a data set detailing healthcare spending and costs in the state.

“The data show that health care spending in New Jersey rose faster than the national average even while utilization for certain types of services decreased over the same period. While health care spending jumped 15 percent nationally, the jump was 18 percent in New Jersey.  The blog discusses the reasons for the increase and the variation by line of service.”
