NRHI Partners with Mass Design Group to Create Guidelines Supporting Off-Site Testing Sites Spatial Effectiveness

Through our research on off-site testing for COVID-19, we learned that communities are lacking specific guidance on the design and layout of testing sites to optimize throughput and minimize the spread of infectious disease.

As part of our ongoing efforts to support local leaders implementing COVID-19 off-site testing, NRHI has partnered with MASS Design Group to create written guidelines to support test site staff to self-evaluate how their site spatially supports their effectiveness.

Evaluation questions and case examples with spatial diagrams will support implementation and workflow design recommendations. These unique resources will be rolled out in the coming week as part of our Off-Site Testing Toolkit. Check out the many innovative ways MASS Design Group, and other architecture firms are supporting COVID response in this recent New York Times article.
