Our first webinar was titled “Implementing Bundled Payment: Learnings from Early Successes and Failures and led by Dr. Tom Williams, President and CEO of the Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) and Karen Timberlake, Director of the Partnership for Healthcare Payment Reform.
Tom Williams, President and CEO of the Integrated Health Association (IHA) discussed IHA’s experience with bundled payment implementation in California. Tom shared the tangible materials and positive insights that came out of the initiative, as well as the unanticipated challenges that could not be overcome during the project’s timeframe. Tom was joined by Karen Timberlake, the Director of the Partnership for Healthcare Payment Reform (PHPR), a project of the Wisconsin Health Information Organization. She talked about her efforts to engage payers, providers and purchasers in Wisconsin in bundled payment and shared savings payment reform pilots. What worked? What didn’t? What does it mean for you?
This webinar concluded with reactions from a panel of health leaders with on-the-ground experience on what it takes to change health care reimbursements and improve value for all.
