Northland clinics are expensive, study finds

This article on Minnesota’s Total Cost of Care reporting demonstrates the value of regional collaboratives in measurement and public reporting. While his medical group and the region were included in the report as higher cost, the physician who was interviewed supports the value of the measures and the need to medical groups to improve! That won’t happen if we just generate measures and report them at a national level. Regional Collaboratives get buy in and agreement to focus on improvement.
