Participation in the project is possible through funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and includes the following RHICs:

Through our team’s work, we will:

  • Identify the drivers of health care costs
  • Develop strategies to reduce these costs

This will pave the way for greater health care transparency and value, and provide critical information to key stakeholders to improve care and reduce costs. As we move forward, our HRCMT team will share with you the lessons we are learning and will provide regular updates on the project in a variety of ways. This may be through mentions in our NRHI monthly newsletter, our monthly webinar series and our quarterly board meetings. Our hope is that we can provide those who are interested in implementing cost transparency in their communities with insight about the key issues, challenges and strategies you can be thinking about today to prepare for a more accelerated implementation in the future. For those who have already implemented cost transparency locally, we will provide forums to exchange information about each others efforts to identify opportunities for collaboration. For a full description of the project goals, deliverables and approach, read the grant proposal that was approved and funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: Total Cost of Care Pilot Narrative. For more information about this project, feel free to reach out to Ellen Gagnon, Senior Project Director at  (207) 747-5104 or any of our Project Team Members:CIVHC (CO)
