Better Health Partnership (BHP) Received Grant to Standardize Screenings and Referrals for Vulnerable Children

United Healthcare, a UnitedHealth Group company, awarded close to $600 000 to seven community-based organizations in Ohio as part of their Empowering Health grant program. Better Health Partners (BHP) was one of the seven organizations receiving $115,000 to standardize screenings and referrals to improve outcomes for vulnerable children experiencing challenging mental/behavioral health and social needs.

The project is a collaboration with pediatric health systems and Federally Qualified Health Centers. This effort, spearheaded by the Better Health Children’s Leadership Team and mental/behavioral health subject matter experts, begins with a pilot phase with The Centers for Families and Children/Circle Health, intended to identify best practices that can be further disseminated across Better Health’s expansive member network of pediatric providers.
