NRHI & Seven Members Awarded Five-Year Contract with Maryland Health Department
PORTLAND, ME – April 9, 2018 – The Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement (NRHI), a national nonprofit organization representing regional health collaboratives (RHICs) across the country, was chosen as one of 19 contractors to provide expertise in the implementation of Maryland’s all-payer model over five-years with the State of Maryland Health Department. As a coordinating organization, NRHI will leverage the considerable resources, expertise, multi-stakeholder approach, and reach of its member RHICs to bid on future task order requests with the goal of providing service in functional areas including:
- Policy design analysis and implementation
- Measure development
- Data reporting, analytics, and clinical data audits
The seven RHICs participating in the contract include: Center for Improving Value in Health Care, HealthInsight, Minnesota Community Measurement, Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality, Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative, The Health Collaborative, and Greater Detroit Area Health Council.
“Maryland plans to lead the country in improving people’s health by going upstream to reduce diabetes, obesity, and other causes of chronic illness,” said Jim Chase, senior advisor and project lead for NRHI. “We are excited to support Maryland’s efforts with our experience in healthcare transformation with communities across the country.”
