On April 13, the HeathDoers Network hosted a webinar that followed up on key takeaways from its January Peer-to-Peer event, The Intersection of Clinical Data, Claims, and the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH): Integrating Multi-Sector Data to Create Health out of Health Care.

Speakers included Sanne Magnan, MD, PhD, Co-Chair National Academies of Sciences Roundtable on Population Health Improvement and former President and CEO of the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI); Kristin Paulson, JD, MPH, Director of Health Care Programs for the Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC); Clare Tanner, PhD, Program Director for the Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI); Meredith Roberts-Tomasi, Senior Director of Programs and Operations, Oregon Health Care Quality Corporation; and Elizabeth Mitchell, President and CEO of the Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement (NRHI).

Dr. Magnan led a meaningful discussion with more than 75 participants on multi-sector data and SDOH. The focus was on getting started with this work, building strong cross-sector relationships, identifying existing data sources, establishing standardization for data collection, and creating data governance. Attendees were encouraged to ask questions and share best practices.
